Jan-Werner Müller has been elected to the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and the Humanities and officially joined the Academy this past week. The Academy looks back on a 325-year tradition; it traces its roots back to the foundation of the Kurfürstlich Brandenburgische Sozietät der Wissenschaften by Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz in 1700. 82 Nobel Prize Winners have shaped its history; the Humboldt brothers and Albert Einstein were members, among many others.
