Politics alum Andrew Proctor has been selected as the 2021 winner of the American Political Science Association’s Kenneth Sherrill Best Dissertation Award for “Coming Out to Vote: LGBT Mobilization in the Two-Party System, 1986-2016." The award recognizes the best dissertation on sexuality and politics completed and successfully defended in the previous two calendar years.

Andrew will start as an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Wake Forest University this fall. Congratulations, Andrew!
