Viivi Jarvi is a PhD student in the Princeton University Department of Politics. She studies transitions from civil conflict and non-democracy, with past projects focusing on the determinants and effects of transitional justice policies. Further, her research interests include a study of democratic stability, quality, and legitimacy as a function of the nature of previous conflicted or non-democratic orders. Viivi has a BA in Political Science and Romance Languages and Literatures and an MA in International Relations from the University of Chicago.
