Sun Shen is a PhD student in Politics at Princeton University. Her research interests include American foreign policy, global security, international conflict and cooperation, and public law.
Sun holds a B.A. in Government (with honors) from Cornell University, where her honors thesis was awarded the Lieutenant David Chrystall prize for best thesis on diplomacy, international relations, and the preservation of peace. Sun also received a J.D. from William & Mary Law School. Before coming to Princeton, she worked as a litigation intern in the New York State Attorney General’s Office, protecting the interests of state agencies and judges in civil litigation. She was also a First Amendment Summer Fellow at Cornell Law School. Her prior research focused on international law, immigration, human rights, and national security law.
