Roel Bos is a PhD candidate in Politics at Princeton University, and a fellow in the Quantitative and Analytical Political Science (QAPS) program. His research interests are in the study of political institutions and political economy, focusing on the role of interest groups in policymaking. He primarily develops formal models to study how political and institutional frictions affect strategic incentives of policymaking actors, including interest groups, parties, and legislators.

Prior to coming to Princeton, Roel worked as a policy economist in the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. He holds an MA in Politics from Princeton, an MSc Political Science and Political Economy (with Distinction) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA Liberal Arts and Sciences (magna cum laude) from University College Utrecht at Utrecht University.
