Joo Hyun Lee is an incoming Ph.D. student in the Department of Politics at Princeton University, specializing in American Politics and Political Economy.

Her research examines the political consequences of economic change, with a particular focus on labor unions. She is especially interested in how unions' responses to economic decline shape party platforms and voting behavior in the United States. 

Prior to Princeton, Joo Hyun earned an M.A. in International Relations and a B.A. in Fashion and Textiles from Seoul National University in South Korea.
