Fiona Bare studies international political economy and global environmental governance. Her dissertation examines how emerging and developing market economies navigate the politics of climate finance, particularly the challenges of resource mobilization and disbursement. In other research, she studies how firms and other non-state actors shape climate politics, as well as broader questions about the role, behavior, and authority of international organizations in global governance. Fiona employs a mixed-methods approach, incorporating formal modeling and observational data alongside qualitative research methods such as interviews, case studies, and fieldwork.
