Professor Doyle is Edwards S. Sanford Professor of Politics and International Affairs, Emeritus. He replaced John Waterbury as Director of the University's Center of International Studies in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.  He was a member of the Princeton faculty from 1977 -1984 and again 1988 - 2003, spending the intervening years teaching at Johns Hopkins University. He served as vice president of the International Peace Academy in New York City in the mid-1990's. He as written extensively on U.N. peacekeeping efforts in Cambodia and Bosnia. He has held a Ford Foundation fellowship, and been a member of the Institute for Advanced Study. He is currently University Professor of International Affairs, Law and Political Science at Columbia University, and co-directs the Center on Global Governance at Columbia Law School.
