Nicole Kliewer is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Politics at Princeton University from Orlando, Florida. She holds a MA in Politics from Princeton as well as a BA and BS in Political Science and International Affairs, respectively, from Florida State University.

Her research interests include electoral politics, political psychology and civil military relations in the United States. She employs mixed methods, including survey experiments, text as data, interviews and quantitative methods, to assess the benefits and consequences of veterans deploying military identities in congressional campaigns. Her current field work assesses the campaign communications of military veterans in the 2018 electoral cycle.
