Abdul-Wahab joined the Arab Barometer as a Research Associate in December 2018. He is responsible for managing and developing AB’s policy and strategic relations in the Middle East and North Africa. Prior to joining AB, Abdul-Wahab obtained a doctorate in political science from The George Washington University in the United States. His PhD dissertation examined the formation and development of political parties and social movements in Morocco. His research has been supported by the ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin and Gerd Bucerius foundation, and the American Political Science Association (APSA) Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Workshops, and has been published in the International Journal for Middle East Studies. In addition, he has publishing and journalism experience in the Middle East.
